This room   Safe   Without walls

Fluttering, cooing, croaking   Trusses

Frame familiar faces   Next door the blue green tree

Chirps   A community of sparrowly neighbours

Leaves and sycamore seeds drift here   To rest

Beneath scents of marzipan   Glazed

Sun wanders in   Sits awhile   In miniature

Beside itself   Warming my knees, ankles, smile

This notebook    Tented roof against a falling

Sky  Loft of lost words   Ebbing, floats, above

Summer snow   Reflects distant windows

Looking back at my home – my family – In Love.
